Upcoming Events
Sunday, April 13: The Covenant Players will be bringing the excitement and impact of Christian drama into the worship setting during our 11AM worship service. The plays of this international repertory company are fresh, pertinent and thought provoking – designed to challenge people to take a closer look at themselves and the practice of their faith. This will be our family worship service for April. There will be children’s songs, interactive messages, and an opportunity for the kids to participate in one of the skits. Join us!
Wednesday, April 16: A Childhood Sexual Abuse Prevention Program will be presented at our church at 7PM. Participants will learn who the sexual predators are, how they access children and what you and your child can do to keep safe. The program is presented by Parents for Megan’s Law and the church, and is designed for parents and childcare providers. All are welcome and there is no charge.
Mother’s Day – May 11: Join us as we honor moms and give thanks for families. Family worship service 11AM
Vacation Bible Camp: VBC will be held from August 18-22 this year. It will run from 9:30-12:00 and will include crafts, games, songs, Bible stories, skits and lots of fun! Kids age 4-12 are invited to participate. Teens can join our group of helpers and skit leaders (actors). Save the dates. Registration forms will be mailed out in July. There is a “recommended donation” of $20 per child for the week.
Embracing Our Differences: As part of the “Embracing Our Differences – Long Island” project, we will be holding a multi-cultural worship service again this fall. It will be a celebration of the marvelous unity and diversity in the body of Christ as we praise God in many languages. Past services have included English, Spanish, Mandarin, German and Czech. The “Embracing Our Differences – LI” project is sponsored by the Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity, & Human Understanding, the Town of Huntington, and Suffolk Community College. The Suffolk County Legislature has endorsed the program with a resolution declaring October to be Embracing Our Differences month.
